Black & Grey HR is recruiting for a leading technology and service provider in Doha, Qatar. Our client is looking to hire a Senior Systems Engineer who will be responsible for designing, managing, and optimizing ICT infrastructure across large-scale sports facilities. The role focuses on ensuring high availability, performance, and security of systems supporting both mega events and day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in hybrid infrastructure environments, combining on-premises systems with cloud technologies.Key ResponsibilitiesInfrastructure ManagementManage and administer enterprise infrastructure including Active Directory, Windows Servers, storage, networking, virtualization, and backup systems.Support and maintain hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI), particularly Dell VxRail and VMware vSphere/ESXi environments.Oversee Azure cloud infrastructure and ensure seamless integration with on-premises systems.Manage hybrid environments including Azure services such as virtual networks, compute, storage, and identity management (Entra ID).Plan and execute system upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management of hardware and infrastructure.Lead infrastructure projects including RFP preparation, vendor evaluation, migrations, and technical documentation.Monitor system performance, health, and security to ensure optimal uptime and efficiency.Manage CCTV and surveillance infrastructure, ensuring reliability and availability of video systems.Collaborate with cross-functional teams (network, security, applications) to ensure smooth operations.Provide advanced L2/L3 technical support for escalated infrastructure issues.Incident ManagementInvestigate and diagnose incidents by analyzing event timelines and identifying root triggers.Assess the impact of incidents, including affected users and systems.Leverage knowledge bases, past incident records, and vendor documentation for resolution.Coordinate with stakeholders and vendors until full incident resolution is achieved.Test and validate solutions before closure.Provide escalation support and ensure timely resolution of critical incidents.Problem ManagementAnalyze recurring incidents to identify underlying problems.Categorize and prioritize problems based on business impact and severity.Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for major incidents.Develop and implement temporary workarounds and permanent fixes.Lead resolution of critical issues impacting stadium and venue operations.Create and maintain runbooks, SOPs, and troubleshooting documentation.RequirementsExperience & Education8+ years of experience in infrastructure/system engineering roles, with a focus on hybrid environments (on-prem + cloud).Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.Technical SkillsStrong experience with Windows Server and Active Directory environments.Hands‑on expertise with Microsoft 365 / Exchange Online.Experience managing SSL certificates and licensing.Proficiency in Linux environments (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu).Expertise in VMware (vSphere, vCenter) and hyper‑converged infrastructure (preferably Dell VxRail).Experience with enterprise storage solutions (vSAN, NAS, Dell EMC).Strong knowledge of Azure services including IaaS, PaaS, Azure Arc, Azure Backup, and Azure Monitor.Solid understanding of ITIL frameworks including incident, problem, and change management.Experience supporting large‑scale, time‑sensitive environments (sports/events industry is a plus).CertificationsMicrosoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (preferred)Google Associate Cloud Engineer or equivalent certificationsLinux+ or other relevant system engineering certificationsBenefitsCompetitive Salary + Benefits Package#J-18808-Ljbffr
