Senior System Engineer—Microsoft Technologies

OverviewSenior System Engineer—Microsoft Technologies for our client in Dubai location. The resource must be fully competent in designing, configuring, securing, administering, integrating, monitoring, and troubleshooting both on‑premises and Microsoft cloud infrastructure. Assist in infrastructure projects such as Microsoft 365 migrations, Azure integrations, and security hardening.ResponsibilitiesDaily Operations: Perform daily IT infrastructure operational tasks; provide Level 2 and Level 3 support; monitor server and storage hardware for availability and performance.Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, secure, integrate, monitor and optimize on‑premises and cloud services; manage, maintain, and support server, storage, and backup infrastructure; perform preventive maintenance on server hardware; build, test, and deploy server and client OS images; build and configure virtual and physical servers; perform OS patching and firmware updates; package and deploy applications using SCCM.Incident & Problem Management: Troubleshoot and resolve reported issues; conduct root‑cause analysis; provide timely updates as per SLA requirement.Backup & Recovery: Manage and maintain backup solutions; perform regular backup and restore tests; plan, implement, and validate disaster recovery activities, including DR drills and documentation of recovery procedures to ensure business continuity.Projects & Documentation: Assist in infrastructure projects such as Microsoft 365 migrations, Azure integrations, and security hardening; develop and maintain documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), system information and configuration records, and user guides/knowledge base articles.Qualifications & SkillsMinimum 8 years of experience in managing on‑premises and Microsoft cloud solutions.Mandatory Skills: Microsoft Technologies; Windows Server (Installation, Configuration, Clustering, Hardening); Active Directory, GPO Management; Microsoft Exchange (Hybrid); Microsoft 365 Suite (SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Intune, Defender, Purview); Microsoft Azure & Entra ID; System Center Suite (SCCM, SCOM); Infrastructure & Hardware including HPE Rackmount Servers, Blade Centres, Synergy Frames; HPE MSA Storage management; Backup Solutions (Commvault, Veeam); Disaster Recovery; Email archiving solution (Arctera Enterprise Vault); Infrastructure Monitoring Solutions (Solarwinds); Endpoint & Security Management; Endpoint protection (Symantec Endpoint Protection preferred); Mobile Device Management; Email Gateway; Event Log Management; Patch management (SCCM and Ivanti Security Controls); ITIL based incident and problem management.ExperienceThe resource must have minimum 8 years of experience in managing on‑premises and Microsoft cloud solutions.#J-18808-Ljbffr
