JOB PURPOSELead and coordinate the creation and review of English-language external content across ADNOC Group to ensure messaging is clear, impactful, and aligned with ADNOC’s strategy and narrative. Serve as the focal point for media communications with Business Line Directorate Communications teams to advise and provide strategic guidance on media positioning opportunities and strategies. Drive media relations and stakeholder engagement to shape ADNOC’s external positioning and protect and enhance the company’s reputation.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESJob Specific AccountabilitiesContent and MessagingDraft, edit, and refine various forms of English-language content, including press releases, speeches, media feature stories, thought leadership articles and Q&A across the ADNOC Group.Collaborate with the communications team to develop and maintain consistent messaging that aligns with ADNOC’s mission and strategy.Create, update and refine External Communications style guides, procedures and templates as requested by the Manager, External CommunicationsPerform rigorous quality checks on all English-language content, as requested by the Manager, Media, to uphold the highest editorial standardsBusiness PartnershipServe as the strategic partner of Media Communications to Business Line Directorate Communications teams to advise and provide guidance on media communications strategies for business initiatives and announcementsCommunications PlanDevelop and lead execution of media communications plans to promote initiatives and announcementsCollaborate with communications teams to shape media communications plansMedia RelationsBuild and maintain positive relationships with media outlets, journalists and industry influencersSupport media outreach efforts to shape ADNOC’s external positioning and protect and enhance the company’s reputationCrisis CommunicationProvide support during critical incidents, ensuring transparent and accurate communication.Perform other related duties or assignments as directedStakeholder EngagementCollaborate with internal teams across ADNOC, partners and stakeholders to gather information for content creationMedia MonitoringOversee monitoring of media coverage across traditional and digital platforms to track ADNOC’s visibility, reputation, and alignment with key messaging.Analyze media trends and coverage to identify potential risks or opportunities, and provide actionable insights to the Manager, Media or senior management as requested.Prepare media monitoring reports and review media monitoring reports prepared by the media monitoring contractor, including key highlights, sentiment analysis, and recommendations, to inform decision-making and support strategic communication initiatives.Generic AccountabilitiesSupervisionPlan and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.BudgetsProvide input for preparation of the Division budgets, assist in the implementation of the approved Budget, and work plans to deliver objectives.Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control.Policies, Systems, Processes & ProceduresImplement approved function policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in order to support execution of the work programs in line with Company and International standards.Performance ManagementContribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the Division in line with the Company Performance framework.Innovation and Continuous ImprovementDesign and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes.Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with ISO standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and SustainabilityComply with relevant HSE policies, procedures, controls, applicable legislation, and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Codeof Practices.ReportsProvide inputs to prepare Section MIS and progress reports for Company Management.COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPSInternalManager, MediaVP, Media, Issues & CrisisSVP, Corporate CommunicationsVP, Communications (Business Line Directorates)ADNOC Group Company, VP Corporate CommunicationsAny other function, as requiredExternalADNOC government and private sector stakeholdersAny other stakeholder, as requiredQUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLSMinimum QualificationBachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills10 years of experience in journalism covering the oil and gas industry or in external communications within a large international organization in the oil and gas industryExcellent written and verbal English-language communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and language.Proven record of
