Job Description In this role as a Java Developer at Qvantel, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining backend services that are crucial for large-scale telecom systems. Your collaboration with product owners, architects, and cross-functional teams will result in the delivery of reliable, high-performance solutions. This hands-on role will provide you with a sense of real ownership in your work. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain Java-based backend applications and services - Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code following best practices - Build and consume RESTful APIs - Work with databases to design schemas, write queries, and optimize performance - Collaborate with product, QA, and DevOps teams through the full development lifecycle - Troubleshoot production issues and contribute to root cause analysis - Participate in code reviews and technical discussions - Continuously improve code quality, performance, and system reliability Required Skills & Experience: - Strong proficiency in Java (Java 8 or above) - Experience with Spring / Spring Boot - Solid understanding of OOP concepts, data structures, and algorithms - Hands-on experience with REST APIs and microservices architecture - Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar) - Familiarity with Git and version control workflows - Understanding of basic software development lifecycle and agile practices Good to Have: - Experience with Hibernate / JPA - Exposure to Kafka, messaging systems, or event-driven architecture - Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) - Experience working on high-scale or enterprise systems - Telecom domain experience (nice bonus, not mandatory) At Qvantel, you can expect: - Real product ownership and meaningful technical challenges - Exposure to global customers and large-scale systems - A collaborative, no-nonsense engineering culture - Space to learn, experiment, and grow technically - Competitive compensation and benefits In this role as a Java Developer at Qvantel, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining backend services that are crucial for large-scale telecom systems.
