Job Description As a Senior Snowflake Platform Architect at our dynamic international team, you will be a crucial part of the enterprise Data & AI platform built on Snowflake. Your responsibilities will include: - Platform Development & Evolution: You will be involved in the technical design and implementation of platform-related topics, ensuring quality, scalability, and maintainability aligned with the architectural direction. This includes contributing to the development of platform features and automation to support the continuous evolution of the Snowflake-based Data & AI environment. - Automation & Monitoring: Developing automated solutions for platform provisioning, CI/CD integration, and monitoring will be a key aspect of your role. You will also ensure observability and performance tuning for optimal platform reliability. - Partnership: Collaboration is essential as you will work closely with fellow architects, engineers, security experts, and team members across data domains to ensure the successful implementation of platform initiatives. - Knowledge Sharing & Documentation: Creating clear user documentation and promoting engineering standards across the team will be part of your responsibilities. - Compliance & Security Implementation: Ensuring that security protocols are integrated into platform operations (RBAC, encryption, data governance, etc.) is crucial. You will also coordinate and support compliance-related initiatives, including penetration tests and internal/external audits. - Continuous Improvement: Staying updated with Snowflake advancements and data platform trends is essential. You will identify opportunities for platform innovation and efficiency gains. Qualifications required for this role include: - A degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. - 5 to 10 years of experience in data engineering or platform development, with extensive hands-on experience with Snowflake. - Understanding of data architecture principles and guidelines for designing robust data platforms. - Proficiency in SQL and Snowflake-specific features, capabilities, and security model. - Hands-on experience in developing procedures with scripting languages (e.g., Python and JavaScript). - Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and infrastructure automation. - Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and their integration with Snowflake. - Knowledge of data platform security and compliance topics, including audit processes. - Passion for writing efficient, readable, and elegantly designed code. - Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to tackle sophisticated issues.
