JOB DESCRIPTIONResponsible for independently performing all general radiography imagery procedures, analyzing output and reporting to supervisor as needed.RESPONSIBILITIESOversees and supervises junior staff and ensures their abidance to going rules and policies as applied and implemented in the departmentMaintains a sufficient inventory of material supplies and equipment for the performance of dutiesManages and reports shortage of materials to supervisor at the earliest convenience, ordering and approving replenishments when necessaryPerforms all MRI procedures in accordance with department policies, procedures and protocolsEvaluates images produced for acceptable quality, appropriateness and completeness. Forwards the images to the Radiologist for review and reportingProvides advice to medical/technical staff on appropriate techniquesDirects and monitors all procedures carried out by junior staff under supervision and step in whenever there is a requirementManages and is responsible for safe and competent use of all radiology equipment, patient appliances and aids used in the departmentAccountabilitiesEnsures clear images for diagnostic purposesMonitors and develops as necessary quality improvement indicators to ensure continuous quality improvement & compliance with patient care standards.QUALIFICATIONSExperienceRequired:NLT 4 years of postgraduate experience in a multimodality site /facility including OR, Trauma fluoroscopy and general radiology in an acute care hospital (of which NLT 2 years as a senior radiographer in an acute care hospital).UAE National: NLT 2 years relevant experience in an acute care hospitalNLT 6 years postgraduate experience in a multimodality site /facility including OR, Trauma, fluoroscopy and general radiology in an acute care hospital (of which NLT 3 years as a senior radiographer in an acute care hospital).UAE National: NLT 3 years relevant experience in an acute care hospitalDesired:N.A.Educational Qualification: RequiredBachelor's degree from an accredited university in a Radiography, Radiology Technology, or Medical/Diagnostic Imaging programTwo (2) years of experience post qualification in the general radiology fieldDiploma in Radiology (minimum three (3) years course duration)Associate degree in Radiography program (minimum two (2) years course duration)and Registration/certification or accreditation as a radiographerAND Current National LicenseDesiredMaster's in Medical Imaging or relevant clinical Msc in related field.
