Job SummaryAs a Senior Quantity Surveyor for Building Projects, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost and commercial management on construction projects, ensuring they are completed within budget and providing support to the project team.Job ResponsibilitiesPrepare and manage all cost reporting for building projects, including budgets, forecasts, and variationsConduct cost analysis, risk assessment, and value engineering to help control project costsLiaise with contractors and suppliers to negotiate and procure materials and services at the best possible pricesProvide guidance and mentorship to junior quantity surveyors and other project team membersPrepare and evaluate tender documents and contracts to ensure they are commercially soundCandidate RequirementsBachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related fieldProven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in building projects, with a focus on cost control and commercial managementStrong knowledge of construction contracts, tendering processes, and cost estimation techniquesExcellent communication and negotiation skillsAbility to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlinesSkillsAdvanced knowledge of quantity surveying principles and techniquesExperience in preparing and analyzing project cost estimatesAbility to manage financial aspects of construction projectsProficiency in contract negotiation and administrationStrong attention to detail and accuracy in measurements and calculationsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsKnowledge of construction industry standards and regulationsProficient in using relevant software and tools for quantity surveyingAbility to work well under pressure and meet project deadlinesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsCivil Engineering#J-18808-Ljbffr
