Job Description
OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team in Dubai United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our organisation you will be responsible for managing all aspects of quantity surveying for our construction projects ensuring cost-effectiveness and compliance with industry standards.ResponsibilitiesPrepare and analyse cost estimates for construction projects ensuring accuracy and completenessConduct detailed quantity take-offs and cost analyses for tenders and contractsManage contract administration including change orders variations and claimsPerform value engineering to optimise project costs without compromising qualityCollaborate with project managers engineers and contractors to ensure project successMonitor and report on project financial performance including cash flow forecastsNegotiate with contractors and suppliers to secure favourable terms and pricingEnsure compliance with local regulations and international best practices in quantity surveyingMentor and guide junior quantity surveyors in the teamImplement and maintain quality control procedures for all quantity surveying activitiesStay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements in quantity surveyingQualificationsBachelors degree in Quantity Surveying Civil Engineering or a related fieldProfessional certification from a recognised body (e.g. RICS CIOB)Minimum of 10 years experience in quantity surveying with a focus on large-scale construction projectsProficiency in quantity surveying software (e.g. CostX Causeway) and Microsoft Office SuiteStrong mathematical and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detailExcellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levelsIn-depth knowledge of construction practices and methodologiesThorough understanding of construction contracts procurement processes and local construction regulations in the UAEDemonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlinesStrong organisational skills and capability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyExperience working in the Middle East construction industry is highly desirableFluency in English is essential; knowledge of Arabic would be advantageousRemote WorkNoEmployment TypeFull-time#J-18808-Ljbffr
