Senior Quantity Surveyor/Contract Manager

<div><p>Lead cost and contract management across high-value construction and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of post- and pre-contract quantity surveying functions, procurement strategies, and contract administration.</p><h3>Duties and responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Manage all aspects of cost planning, estimation, and budget control throughout project life cycles.</li><li>Prepare and manage tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities, and other documentation.</li><li>Oversee procurement processes and subcontractor management, including evaluations and negotiations.</li><li>Monitor project costs, track variations, and ensure value for money through effective cost control strategies.</li><li>Administer contracts in accordance with relevant forms (e.g., FIDIC, NEC, bespoke contracts), including claims, variations, and dispute resolution.</li><li>Collaborate with legal and project teams on contractual matters, risk management, and compliance.</li><li>Evaluate and negotiate interim and final payments to contractors and suppliers.</li><li>Conduct cost analysis, forecasting, and reporting for internal stakeholders and clients.</li><li>Ensure accurate and timely submission of commercial and financial reports.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications, Knowledge&Skills</h3><ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree (BSc) in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field with at least 7 years of relevant experience.</li><li>Master’s Degree (MSc) in Quantity Surveying, Construction Law, or related field with at least 5 years of relevant experience.</li></ul><ul><li>Strong knowledge of quantity surveying principles, commercial management, and contract law.</li><li>Familiarity with international standard forms of contract (FIDIC, NEC, etc.).</li><li>Excellent negotiation, analytical, and cost management skills.</li><li>Experience in preparing and defending claims, variations, and contractual correspondence.</li><li>Proficiency in software such as MS Excel, CostX, CATO, or other QS tools.</li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills for liaison with stakeholders.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines under pressure.</li><li>Chartered status (e.g., MRICS) is desirable but not mandatory.</li></ul></div>#J-18808-Ljbffr
