DAR Engineering, a leading design & engineering consulting organization in Saudi Arabia engaged in Power Generation, Electrical Transmission & Distribution, Health Care & High Rise BuildingsJob PurposeThe Senior QA/QC Material Engineer will play a critical role within DAR Engineering's Project Management Consultancy team, overseeing all quality assurance and quality control activities related to materials used in the water network infrastructure project. The incumbent will ensure that all materials, products, and processes comply with project specifications, international standards, and client requirements, while maintaining the highest levels of quality throughout the project lifecycle.Key Accountability AreasLead QA/QC and material engineering activities for a water network infrastructure project in Riyadh under PMC supervisionEnsure all materials comply with project specifications and international standards (ASTM, AASHTO, BS, ISO)Review and approve material submittals, technical data sheets, and material approval requestsOversee inspection, sampling, and testing of construction materials through site and third-party labsSupervise QA/QC processes for key materials including pipelines (HDPE, DI, GRP, PVC), valves, and fittingsReview and ensure compliance with Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and method statementsEvaluate and approve suppliers, conduct factory inspections, and ensure material traceabilityCoordinate with PMC team, contractors, and stakeholders on all material-related quality mattersMonitor proper material storage, handling, and installation practices on siteManage non-conformance reports (NCRs) and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implementedMaintain QA/QC documentation, material logs, and prepare quality reports for stakeholdersEnsure adherence to project Quality Management Systems (QMS) and reporting standardsApply expertise in water transmission and distribution systems, including testing and commissioning requirementsDemonstrate strong knowledge of infrastructure project requirements and Saudi regulations/standards.Qualifications and ExperienceBachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Materials Engineering from a recognized university.ISO 9001 Lead Auditor / Internal Auditor and relevant QA/QC certifications.Minimum of Fifteen (15) years progressive experience in QA/QC roles, with a strong focus on infrastructure and water network projects.Prior experience with PMC/consultancy firms and major infrastructure projects is required.Proven experience on large-scale infrastructure projects (water, utilities, pipelines).Strong knowledge of:Material standards (ASTM, BS, AWWA, ISO)QA/QC procedures and audit systemsExpertise in reviewing:Material submittalsITPs, Method StatementsProficient in QA/QC reporting tools and documentation systemsWhat We OfferA chance to work on landmark projects in Saudi Arabia.Collaborative and supportive work environment.Competitive salary and benefits package.An engaged and supportive team that are passionate about encouraging each other to succeed.Work for a company who values their employees and recognizes their contribution.We understand that to accomplish our goals, we must work as a team and rely on the efforts of every team member.
