Senior Proposal / Estimation Engineer

General Scope: Experienced Core Estimator required to join the team in the EPC sector for oil and gas projects.The role involves preparing detailed cost estimates for engineering, procurement, and construction activities to support tender submissions. Estimates must be accurate, competitive, and fully aligned with project specifications. The position demands strong technical skills in multi-disciplinary estimation and close collaboration with engineering, procurement, and construction teams.The Estimator prepares complete and accurate cost estimates for EPC projects, with a focus on direct and indirect costs across all disciplines. Responsibilities include coordinating with Engineering and Procurement teams to compile competitive, fully compliant EPC proposals and tender packages.Evaluate Tender documents, drawings, specifications and schedules to understand project scope and requirements.Prepare complete cost estimates for EPC projects, including materials, labor, equipment, fittings, flanges, and subcontractors.Develop detailed costing sheets covering all direct costs, indirect costs, man-hours, contingencies, and other factors.Prepare civil work estimates, including foundations, structures, earthworks, concrete, and site preparation, based on Material Take-Offs (MTOs) provided by the Engineering Team.Estimate Piping, Valves and Structural steel - Material and Fabrication costs for piping and structural steel using Material Take-Offs (MTOs) supplied by the engineering team.Estimate Mechanical equipment costs using go-bys (historical data) and vendor quotations.Estimate Installation costs for Piping, Equipment, Structural steel, and related systems.Estimate Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) costs, including installation works for control systems, wiring, instrumentation, and related items.Estimate site construction facilities required for the project, including site offices, camps, storage facilities, laydown areas, and other temporary infrastructure; cover both CAPEX and OPEX elements suitable for the construction period.Calculate project Variation rates to account for changes in scope, materials, or schedules.Prepare and issue Subcontractor RFQs/RFPs to obtain competitive quotations for specialized scopes, evaluate responses, and incorporate into the overall estimate.Contribute to the compilation of complete proposal packages, including Bills of Quantities (BOQs), Material Take-Offs (MTOs), pricing breakdowns, clarifications, and other required tender documentation.Analyse project risks and assumptions to develop realistic pricing strategies, including milestone payments, exclusions, and deviations.Prepare manpower histograms for direct and indirect personnel requirements.Develop preliminary construction schedules to support cost and resource planning.Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams (engineering, procurement, construction) to gather inputs, resolve queries, and meet tender deadlines.Proficiency in Excel for detailed estimation model is mandatory.Requirements12 - 15 years experience in estimation onshore EPC Oil & Gas process plants#J-18808-Ljbffr
