Senior Project Manager pre contract, buildings and engineering

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager specializing in pre-contract activities for buildings and engineering projects to join our team in Dubai United Arab Emirates. This key role will be responsible for overseeing the critical early stages of major construction and engineering projects ensuring a solid foundation for successful project execution.Responsibilities:Lead and manage pre-contract activities for complex building and engineering projectsDevelop and review project scopes timelines and budgetsConduct thorough risk assessments and develop mitigation strategiesNegotiate and manage contracts with clients contractors and suppliersCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project alignment with organizational goalsOversee the preparation of tender documents and bid evaluationsImplement and maintain project management best practices and methodologiesEnsure compliance with local building codes regulations and international standardsProvide regular status updates and reports to senior management and stakeholdersMentor and develop junior project team membersQualifications : Bachelors degree in Engineering Construction Management or related fieldProject Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalentMinimum 8-10 years of experience in project management with a focus on pre-contract activitiesProven track record in managing large-scale building and engineering projectsStrong knowledge of project management methodologies and best practicesExcellent contract negotiation and management skillsProficiency in budgeting cost estimation and financial analysisAdvanced risk assessment and management capabilitiesExperience working in the Middle East construction industryIn-depth knowledge of UAE building codes and regulationsUnderstanding of international construction standards and practicesFamiliarity with sustainable building practices and LEED certificationProficiency in project management software (e.g. Microsoft Project Primavera)Exceptional leadership communication and stakeholder management skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced multicultural environmentAdditional Information : About AECOM AECOM is proud to offer comprehensive benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
