Join us.Job DescriptionWe're looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager - MHS to lead a project in our Doha, Qatar operations. In this role, you will oversee complex projects from conception through implementation, managing cross-functional teams, budgets, and timelines while ensuring optimal performance and stakeholder satisfaction. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, analytical thinking, and a proven track record of delivering material handling solutions on time and within budget.Direct end-to-end project management for material handling systems implementations, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure phasesDevelop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets; track progress against established baselines and adjust as neededLead and mentor cross-functional project teams, including engineers, technicians, and external vendors, fostering collaboration and accountabilityIdentify, analyze, and mitigate project risks; develop contingency plans to ensure successful project deliveryManage stakeholder communications, providing regular status updates and addressing concerns with professionalism and clarityOversee vendor and contractor relationships, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and quality standardsAnalyze material handling processes and systems to identify optimization opportunities and implement improvementsPrepare detailed project documentation, including scope statements, requirements, specifications, and lessons learned reportsMonitor project budgets and resource allocation; manage change requests and cost controls to prevent overrunsEnsure all projects comply with safety regulations, quality standards, and organizational policiesConduct post-implementation reviews and provide recommendations for continuous improvementQualificationsMinimum 15 years of project management experience, with at least 5 years managing material handling systems or logistics operations projectsProven expertise in material handling systems, warehouse automation, and supply chain operationsStrong knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices (PMP certification preferred)Advanced proficiency with project management software (MS Project, Asana, or similar platforms)Experience with ERP systems and warehouse management systems (WMS)Demonstrated ability to manage complex budgets and resources effectivelyExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detailExceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to influence stakeholders at all levelsExperience with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies is preferredFamiliarity with CAD software and technical documentation is advantageousStrong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyProficiency in process improvement and optimization techniquesAbility to work effectively in a multicultural environment and adapt to regional business practicesAdditional InformationAbout AECOMAECOM is proud to offer comprehensive benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
