Each day you will complete assignments on multiple projects of moderate size or portions of major projects in a cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring assignments are completed in accordance with contract specifications quality standards safety requirements and cybersecurity policies and standards.As a Technical Lead you will oversee engineering activities in assignments classified as medium engineering complexity with a specialization in Process Control and/or Safety Systems. Your expertise with ABB 800xA and/or other ABB Control Systems will be key in delivering high-quality solutions. You will manage multiple projects or segments of major initiatives within your discipline ensuring all work aligns with contractual obligations engineering standards and safety protocols.The work model for the role is: #hybrid #hybrid-LiThis role is reporting to the Automation Engineering Manager in Dubai. Main stakeholders are customers project managers supply chain teams manufacturing testing and commissioning teams and engineering colleagues.Key Responsibilities:Leading and approving design deliverables ensuring compliance with safety quality and contractual requirementsAnticipating and resolving technical issues using advanced engineering concepts and best practicesCollaborating with customers to shape solutions gather feedback and support customer retention through excellent serviceProviding technical support during installation commissioning and start-up ensuring smooth and compliant executionFinalizing key concepts such as the Fail-Safe Philosophy and resolving technical issues during project meetingsApplying Design Thinking conducting peer reviews and promoting knowledge sharing to drive continuous improvementDeveloping and applying standard engineering techniques while ensuring HSE and regulatory complianceManaging risks and opportunities by addressing safety quality and cost issues with proactive recommendationsCreating work plans and cost estimates to ensure timely high-quality and cost-effective project deliveryCoordinating with Manufacturing Testing and Supply Chain teams to execute seamless technical solutions and support ABB 800xA systemsYou will join a dynamic talented high performing team where you will be able to thrive.Qualifications:You are highly skilled in ABB 800xA with AC 800M and interface configuration using industrial protocols such as Modbus Profibus IEC and OPC and you enjoy working within the Oil & Gas and Power & Water sectorsYou have over 5 years of experience in automation engineering roles particularly in automation systems and control solutionsWorking as a technical lead with ABB control systems (e.g. 800xA Symphony Plus Freelance) you have delivered projects across Oil & Gas and Power & Water industriesYou are highly adept in ABB platforms and possess solid knowledge of industrial cybersecurity and networking for control systemsYou are passionate about customer engagement and problem solving with strong communication and interpersonal skillsYou hold a degree in Engineering and have extensive knowledge of automation systems and process applicationsYou are at ease communicating in English in both technical and customer-facing contextsYou have hands-on experience with Oil & Gas customers such as ADNOC and understand the specific requirements of this industryWhats in it for youWe want you to bring your full self to workyour ideas your energy your ambition.
