Senior process engineer(dynamic simulation)

If you share our determination to drive the transition to a low‑carbon future, then this could be the job for you.Job purpose :Ensures continuity of engineering to site.Is in charge of technical interfaces with the sub‑contractors.Is in charge of resolving first level problems at site.Performs simple calculations and draws sketches for any modification work at site.Reporting lines and interactions:Hierarchically reports to: HOD, Process & Technology.Operationally reports to: Project Manager, HOD – Process & Technology.Directly supervises (operationally): Senior Process Engineer and Lead P&ID’s.Key interactions (internally, externally): Engineering Discipline Manager, Cost Control Manager, Planning Manager, Estimating Manager, Client and Licensor.Profile Must Have :Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering is required.Minimum 10–15 years of chemical process engineering experience in a similar EPC / operating environment for onshore / offshore projects. Experience in carrying out pre‑FEED / FEED / detailed engineering work for onshore / offshore facilities is required.Dynamic Simulation experience in ASPEN HYSYS.Main Accountabilities:Develop and document design basis.Carry out process studies under minimum supervision.Evaluate and optimise process schemes.Options screening and techno‑economic viability studies.Preparing & checking heat and material balances and associated Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs).Preparing & checking Piping and Instrument Diagrams (P&IDs).Experience with process simulation software (i.e., Aspen Plus, HYSYS, Promax, Pro II, Flarenet, Pipenet, etc.).Sizing, selecting, and specifying process equipment (i.e., pumps, heat exchangers, vessels, columns, etc.).Input into material selection.Carry out complex hydraulic calculations.Experience sizing, selecting, and specifying pressure relief devices.Familiarity with the sizing, selection and specification of process instrumentation.Provide assistance to the HOD / Lead Engineer, as requested, in the areas of schedules, estimates, progress reports, meetings, procurement, activities, etc.Assist, as required, in the development of department standards and procedures.Assist with quality audits.Field experience including troubleshooting, start‑up, commissioning, etc. would be a plus.A deep and thorough understanding of codes, regulatory requirements and industry practices. Experience with determining best practices and procedures while contributing to the development of new concepts.Excellent verbal and written communication skills allowing for effective communication in multidisciplinary project teams involving representatives from the client, other departments within Technip Doha, and other consultants and contractors.Results oriented, with good organisation skills, attention for detail, and the capability of efficiently working simultaneously on multiple projects.Inclusion StandardsIn our continuous journey to developing and building a culture of inclusion, we adhere to four Inclusion Gold Standards.
