SENIOR PROCESS ENGINEER

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Process Engineer to join our engineering team in Abu Dhabi for a major onshore oil and gas project. The ideal candidate will have 10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry with strong expertise in oil and gas gathering and processing systems and a solid background in FEED and Detailed Engineering. The role requires a hands-on professional who can lead process engineers and designers ensure high-quality deliverables and apply best practices in line with ADNOC and major IOCs such as Shell BP and ExxonMobil. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead the development of process engineering deliverables during the FEED and Detailed Design phases for onshore oil and gas projects. Prepare and review PFDs P&IDs process simulations heat and material balances process datasheets and line sizing. Ensure proper design of oil and gas gathering separation compression dehydration and processing facilities. Perform process calculations sizing of equipment and hydraulic analysis. Lead and participate in technical reviews HAZOP HAZID SIL and other process safety workshops. Provide guidance to junior engineers and designers and coordinate multidisciplinary interfaces. Ensure alignment with ADNOC Shell BP ExxonMobil and other international standards and client specifications. Review and approve vendor documents and design deliverables related to process systems. Support procurement construction and commissioning teams with technical input and resolution of design issues. KEY QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline. Minimum 10 years of experience in process engineering within the oil and gas industry specifically in onshore projects. Strong background in oil and gas gathering and processing systems. Proven experience in FEED Detailed Design and Detailed Engineering. Familiarity with ADNOC Shell BP ExxonMobil and other major oil company engineering standards and design philosophies. Demonstrated ability to lead teams of engineers and designers and deliver work within budget and schedule. Proficient in process simulation and calculation tools (e.g. HYSYS Aspen Plus Flarenet). Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
