Senior Planning Engineer

Minimum Degree: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (BSc or higher)Location: Abu Dhabi, UAEMinimum Years: 15Purpose: The Senior Planning Engineer will manage planning, scheduling, and progress control for large-scale infrastructure projects. The role supports the Construction Manager in ensuring contractor schedules, procurement plans, and milestone targets are aligned with project requirements for timely delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesReview contract documents, contractor site setup, and planners’ CVs; advise the Construction Manager on any gaps or issues.Approve and coordinate design and procurement plan to ensure they match the overall project plan.Track construction progress through site visits and reports; check milestones and resources and suggest corrective actions if needed.Assess recovery plans, time impact claims, and design changes; recommend solutions to avoid delays.Prepare monthly progress reports, presentations, and meeting agendas, highlighting risks and schedule updates.Review commissioning and closeout plans to ensure compliance with project requirements and management expectations.Qualifications and ExperienceBachelor’s Degree in Engineering (BSc or higher).Minimum 15 years overall experience, with at least 10 years in planning for complex construction projects.Extensive experience in PMC/Consultancy or client representative roles is highly desirable.Expert proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, and project planning tools.Strong analytical, reporting, and coordination skills.Available in UAE / Immediate joiners preferred.Pioneer IPMC was established to provide integrated Project Management Consultancy Services across a wide range of sectors and industries.
