Senior Planning Engineer

OverviewAtkinsRéalis is looking for a Senior Planning Engineer, in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The Senior Planning Engineer must have a minimum of 10 years' management experience, and ensure that the project management function operates efficiently across the Consultant's organization and with external stakeholders. The role requires strong UAE experience, with a solid background in luxury villas and townhouses.Your roleProject Planning and Scheduling.Develop, implement, and maintain detailed project schedules using tools like Primavera P6 or MS Project.Create resource-loaded and cost-loaded schedules to ensure alignment with budget forecasts and manpower planning.Track project progress against baseline schedules, prepare S-curves, histograms, and other KPIs, and report deviations with recovery plans.Conduct schedule analysis to identify delay causes, assess critical path impacts, and support Extension of Time (EOT) claims.Collaborate with project managers, site engineers, subcontractors, and clients to gather data, validate progress, and ensure schedule adherence.Analyze project risks related to scheduling and propose mitigation strategies to avoid delays and disruptions.Ensure all planning activities comply with contractual and regulatory requirements, maintaining accurate records for audits and closeouts.Conduct regular site inspections to verify actual progress against planned activities and adjust schedules accordingly.Utilize advanced planning tools like Primavera P6, MS Project, and Excel for schedule development, updates, and reporting.Recommend improvements to planning processes, adopt new tools, and stay updated on industry best practices and methodologies.About youWith at least 10 years of experience on Planning and Controls with strong PMC backgroundLuxury Villas & Townhouses ExperienceMust have a Degree in Civil Engineering; PMP Certified and other Project Controls related certificationsMust have good experience in working in the UAERewards & benefitsExplore the rewards and benefits that help you thrive - at every stage of your life and your career.This includes:Tax-free salary.Life insurance coverage.Medical insurance.Annual leave balance.Company gratuity scheme.Discretionary bonus program.Annual flight contribution.Transportation & housing allowances.Employee Wellbeing Program: 24/7 access to specialists in finance, legal matters, family care, personal health, fitness, and nutrition.About AtkinsRéalisWe’re AtkinsRéalis, a world-class engineering services and nuclear organization.
