Skills: VMware VCP, Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP), Red Hat RHCSA/RHCE, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect Associate, or enterprise backup vendor certifications.**Only Immediate joiners OR not longer than 30 days’ Notice Period**Job DescriptionThe Platform Administration Engineer is responsible for the deployment, configuration, management, and lifecycle support of enterprise server, virtualization, and cloud platforms. The role focuses on VMware, Nutanix, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environments,ensuring high performance, scalability, and resilience across mission-critical infrastructure.The engineer also leads the administration and optimization of enterprise backup workloads, ensuring data protection, recoverability, and compliance with organizational standards. This position collaborates closely with cloud, network, storage, and security teams to maintain a secure, efficient, and scalable IT ecosystem supporting key business services.Key Responsibilities:Install, configure, and maintain VMware vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi hosts, as well as Nutanix AHV clusters and Prism Central/Elementenvironments.Administer and support Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)compute, storage, and networking resources for hybrid workloads.Manage virtual machine provisioning, resource optimization, and performance tuning across multi-cluster and hybrid environments.Implement and support VMware HA, DRS, vMotion, Nutanix replication, snapshots, and DR capabilities.Integrate OCI services with on-premises environments for extended scalability and disaster recovery.Collaborate with storage and network teams to ensure optimal platform integration and resource efficiency.Operating System Administration (RHEL & Other Linux Distributions)Install, configure, and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)systems in production and non-production environments.Manage system updates, user accounts, services, and performance tuning per IT standards.Troubleshoot and resolve OS-level incidents and conduct root cause analysis for recurring issues.Apply security hardening, kernel patching, and vulnerability remediation to maintain compliance and system integrity.Automation & Orchestration (VMware Aria Suite, Nutanix Calm & OCI Integration):Design and implement automation workflows and orchestration blueprints using VMware Aria Suite (vRealize Automation, Orchestrator), Nutanix Calm, and OCI-native automation tools.Develop self-service provisioning catalogs and reusable templates to streamline deployment of virtual and cloud infrastructure.Integrate automation tools with ITSM platforms and OCI services to support hybrid infrastructure management.Optimize provisioning, patching, and scaling workflows to enhance consistency and reduce manual operations.Monitoring & Performance Management:Monitor server and virtualization health, resource utilization, and performance metrics.Implement proactive measures to prevent downtime and optimize capacity planning.Generate reports and dashboards for server performance and availability.Backup, Recovery & Disaster Recovery Support:Design, manage, and support enterprise backup and recovery solutions covering both on-premises and cloud workloads.Administer backup platforms (Veeam, Commvault, NetBackup, Rubrik) for policy configuration, retention, and scheduling.Ensure full integration of backup solutions with VMware, Nutanix, RHEL, and OCI environments for consistent protection.Conduct regular backup validation, recovery drills, and DR simulations to ensure data integrity and business continuity.Collaborate with application and storage teams to align backup performance, capacity, and retention strategies with RPO/RTOobjectives.Maintain documentation for all backup and recovery configurations and participate in audits or compliance assessments.Documentation & Knowledge Management:Maintain accurate documentation of platform configurations, procedures, and SOPs.Prepare operational guides for system administration tasks.Provide technical knowledge transfer to junior engineers and other IT teams.Work closely with application teams, network, and security teams for platform integration and troubleshooting.Participate in change management processes, including approvals, testing, and implementation.Provide on-call support for critical incidents impacting platform availability.Required Skills & Qualifications:Experience: 7-10 years in platform administration VMware and NutanixTechnical Skills:Deep expertise in VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenteradministration.Hands-on experience with Nutanix AHV, Prism Central, and Prism Element.Proficiency in RHEL administration, patching, and performance tuning.Experience designing and managing enterprise backup platforms (Veeam, Commvault, NetBackup, Rubrik).Hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)— including compute, storage, networking, and hybrid integration with on-prem platforms.Experience with VMware Aria Suite (vRealize
