Senior Mechanical Engineer – Technical (MEP Construction)

We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer Technical with strong expertise in MEP systems for building construction projects. The candidate should have minimum 10 years of experience in the construction industry preferably in the UAE with a strong background in design review, technical coordination, and authority compliance for HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.Key ResponsibilitiesReview and verify mechanical design drawings, shop drawings, and technical submittals for HVAC, Plumbing, Drainage, and Fire Fighting systems.Prepare and review material submittals, method statements, and technical compliance documents as per project specifications.Coordinate with electrical, civil, architectural and BIM teams to ensure proper MEP integration.Provide technical support to site teams to resolve engineering and installation issues.Ensure all mechanical systems comply with project requirements, international standards, and local authority regulations.Liaise with consultants and clients for technical approvals and design clarifications.Prepare value engineering proposals and technical alternatives where required.Support testing, commissioning, and system performance verification.Assist in project planning, material selection, and equipment sizing.Monitor technical documentation and ensure proper record control.Technical ScopeHVAC systems (Chilled water, VRF, AHU, FCU, ventilation)Plumbing and drainage systemsFire fighting systems (Sprinkler, Hose reel, Fire pump)Heat load calculations and equipment selectionPump and duct sizingCoordination with district cooling (Empower/Tabreed) where applicableQualifications & RequirementsBachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.Minimum 10 years of experience in MEP construction projects preferably in UAE building projects.Strong knowledge of HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Fighting system design and coordination.Familiarity with UAE authority requirements such as Dubai Municipality, DCD, DEWA, and Empower.Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit/BIM, and MS Office.Experience in design review, technical coordination, and authority submissions.Good communication, technical analysis, and problem-solving skills.Experience in residential, commercial, or high-rise building projects is preferred.#J-18808-Ljbffr
