Industry: Transportation & Logistics (Electric Mobility / Energy Systems) Department: Hardware Engineering Reports To: Director, R&DYou will play a key role in developing vehicle docking systems, battery handling mechanisms, and structural assemblies used in electric mobility stations, with a strong focus on scalability, automation, and operational efficiency.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign vehicle docking systems, battery handling equipment, and structural frameworksTranslate engineering requirements into detailed mechanical designs and production-ready drawingsPerform design validation using FEA (structural integrity, fatigue, load analysis)Lead integration of conveyors, lifting systems, and support structuresCollaborate with fabrication teams and vendors (local & international)Support installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of deployed systemsContinuously improve designs for automation, safety, and throughputRequirementsBachelor’s Degree in Mechanical EngineeringMinimum 5 years’ experience in industrial mechanical designStrong expertise in:Structural design and load analysisWelded and bolted assembliesSheet metal and machined componentsHands-on experience with FEA for validationProficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks, NX, Creo, Solid Edge, etc.)Ability to work with evolving or incomplete requirementsComfortable with on-site engineering during build and deploymentPreferred ExperienceIndustrial automation or material handling systemsEV infrastructure or battery systemsDesigning under constrained manufacturing environmentExpected Salary RangeKES 180,000 – 450,000 per monthR55,000 – R95,000 per monthApply via our platform#J-18808-Ljbffr
