Senior Manager Planning and Project Management

Job Description As a Project Manager at bp, your role involves working closely with delivery managers, projects managers, and digital engineers in a production & operations oil & gas organization. Your primary responsibility is to ensure the successful delivery of products, platforms, and services by applying structured development and execution methods, including Agile. You will play a crucial role in aligning project milestones with iterative delivery cycles within Agile frameworks to deliver continuous value. Your ability to identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks will be key in ensuring project success while maintaining alignment with bp's strategic objectives. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement detailed project plans, including schedules, budgets, resource allocation, and delivery roadmaps. - Coordinate across teams to ensure project alignment with bp's strategic objectives. - Work within Agile frameworks to align project milestones with iterative delivery cycles. - Identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks to project success. - Build strong relationships with business, technical, and external partners to maintain alignment on goals, requirements, and delivery priorities. - Lead efforts to refine project management practices, drive initiatives to improve delivery efficiency, and enhance project outcomes. Qualifications Required: - Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions. - Experience in project management or related field, leading projects with increasing scope and complexity. - Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Smartsheet, Microsoft ADO). - Practical application of Agile frameworks.
