Job Description

The Senior Manager will lead, inspire and drive the safe and timely delivery of the Design & Engineering of the Vertical Links Project. This includes championing health, safety, and security, demonstrating Qiddiya values, and ensuring project schedules, budgets, and resources are effectively managed in collaboration with discipline leads, contractors, and stakeholders. A key focus will be the Design & Engineering of the system. The role will drive scope completion to agreed timeframes and budgets, proactively resolve risks and roadblocks, and maintain strong stakeholder engagement. The position will oversee scope management, constructability, contract alignment, change control, and cross‑functional coordination. It includes supporting procurement and commercial teams and implementing best practice project management processes. By aligning delivery with Qiddiya's and TBU strategic objectives, the Senior Manager will ensure the project work is completed to the highest standards of safety, quality, and performance. The role has specific responsibilities for the management of the design, option assessment, delivering solutions and resolving all interfaces with adjacent projects. This includes audit of the design to the various stages and obtaining approvals and non‑objections from Stakeholders ahead of Stage Gates.Applications closing on 16th March 2026.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the design and engineering processes for Vertical Links systems, ensuring technical excellence and alignment with all project goalsCollaborate with project stakeholders to define technical requirements and outcomes, effectively communicating design concepts and solutionsEstablish and maintain design standards and guidelines, ensuring adherence to industry best practices and regulatory frameworksManage the procurement and oversight of consultants and contractors engaged in design and engineering activities, fostering efficient workflows and collaborative relationshipsConduct design reviews and quality assurance checks, ensuring all deliverables meet both technical specifications and stakeholder expectationsMonitor project progress, identifying potential design‑related risks and implementing suitable mitigation strategies to adhere to project timelines and budgetsDrive innovation by researching and integrating emerging technologies and practices in vertical transportation systemsMaintain effective communication channels across project teams and departments, ensuring timely updates and seamless information sharingMentor junior engineers and contribute to their professional growth and development in the field of design and engineeringEngage in external networking and industry events to remain updated on trends, advancements, and challenges in vertical transportation engineeringRequirementsBachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering or a related discipline (Master's degree preferred)10+ years of relevant experience in design and engineering of vertical transportation systems, with a focus on large infrastructure projectsProven expertise in managing multi-disciplinary engineering teams and projectsIn-depth knowledge of vertical transportation standards, building codes, and local regulatory requirementsStrong project management skills with experience in delivering projects on time and within budgetFamiliarity with smart building concepts and sustainability practicesExceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detailExcellent verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is a plusDemonstrated leadership capabilities, with a focus on team collaboration and mentorshipAbility to foster relationships with stakeholders and navigate complexities in a multi-faceted project environmentBenefitsComprehensive benefits package#J-18808-Ljbffr
