The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining a variety of machines in our machine shop, ensuring the production of high-quality components for our clients.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate a variety of machine tools, including lathes, milling machines, and grindersRead and interpret technical drawings and specifications to determine machine set up and production requirementsMonitor and adjust machine settings to ensure proper dimensions and tolerances are metInspect finished products for quality and accuracy, making necessary adjustments as neededTroubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during productionPerform routine maintenance on machines to ensure their optimal performanceTrain and mentor junior machine shop operators as neededMaintain a clean and safe work environment, following all safety protocols and proceduresCollaborate with other team members and departments to improve processes and optimize production efficiencyQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in machining is preferredMinimum of 5 years of experience as a machine shop operator, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead roleExtensive knowledge of various machining techniques and equipmentAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and specificationsStrong attention to detail and quality controlExcellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong communication and interpersonal skillsWillingness to work flexible hours and overtime as neededMust be physically fit and able to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods of timeExperience with CNC machines is a plusContract DetailsThis is a full‑time position with a competitive salary and benefits package.
