Senior Landscape Architect

DescriptionStantec is seeking a talented and motivated Senior Landscape Architect to join our growing team in Dubai and to work within a fast paced, multi-disciplinary team for completion of planning, design and construction services for a wide variety of landscape architectural projects. Additionally, the successful candidate will participate with our interdisciplinary design team, manage assignments, provide critical urban and landscape architecture design experience, and interact with existing and prospective clients with exemplary communication skills and design acumen.ResponsibilitiesCreating conceptual visions for a variety of private and public‑sector landscape architecture projects.Concept design development and provide cost estimating, detail design services, contract document preparation and undertake various field services such as site inventories and construction inspection and reports.Management and production of project design drafting and detailing.Illustration of design concepts and preparation of design reports.Preparation and production of design and construction drawings and schematic illustrations.Design detailing in an accurate and efficient manner.Assisting in the preparation of schedules of quantity and cost estimates.Illustration of design concepts and preparation of design reports.Ability to thrive in a multi‑disciplined and multi‑cultural environment.Ability to execute a project from concept through construction documentation.Cutting edge landscape design.Strong graphic capabilities.Attend client meetings and in‑house meetings.Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced work environment.QualificationsA degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited university or a combination of related education and experience.Minimum of 10 years of work experience.Has experience working with International Design firms.A sound understanding of landscape architectural design principles, practice, work requirements, and construction methods.CMLI / IFLA registration and internationally recognised accreditation.Relevant UAE experience in landscape projects, with exposure to both design and site coordination.Strong site experience and understanding of local construction processes and project delivery.Ability to work on both design and site‑related tasks.Experience in shop drawing review, mock‑up review, and material submissions.Excellent team player with a cooperative and professional attitude.Flexible, proactive, and able to adapt to project requirements.Strong coordination skills with consultants, contractors, and clients.Valid UAE driving licence.Preferred SpecificationsAbility to work in a team / multidisciplinary environment.Strong verbal, written & graphic communication skills.Good computer skills (AutoCAD, Revit, MS Excel and other graphic programmes); Good presentation skills.Experience in urban design, sustainable design and landscape/site planning & design.Self‑motivated, creative and able to work under minimum level of supervision within a heavy workload environment.
