As our client is building out their presence in the UAE, they are looking to hire for a highly skilled Senior Kotlin / Java Developer who will play a key role in designing and building highly scalable, high-throughput services in a modern, microservice environment.About the RoleIn this role, The Senior Kotlin / Java Developer will design and implement scalable, service-oriented backend solutions using Kotlin and Java, ensuring they meet our client’s growing performance, reliability, and availability requirements. The role will work with frameworks such as Spring and Micronaut to deliver robust backend functionality, while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to modernize architecture and develop new features that are resilient and observable.The technology stack includes Kotlin, Java, the Spring Framework, Micronaut, Apache Kafka, Apache Camel, Apache Artemis JMS, Hibernate, Kubernetes, Helm, REST, SOAP, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, and the Elastic ELK Stack. The Developer will work with these technologies regularly, integrating with both relational and non-relational databases and ensuring seamless data flows across our services.To support efficient development, The role uses modern engineering tools such as JetBrains IntelliJ with AI assistance, Datagrip, Lens, Rancher, and Postman. It also includes responsibility for building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitLab to enable rapid, safe, and repeatable deployments.About YouThe successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in backend development with Java, with exposure to Kotlin. The candidate should have strong hands-on experience with frameworks such as Spring Boot, Spring, or Micronaut.The ideal candidate should also display an understanding of microservices, distributed systems and event-driven architectures, combined with experience working with relational databases – specifically MySQL and PostgreSQL.#J-18808-Ljbffr
