BAE Systems Strategic Aerospace Services WLL | Full timeWe are seeking an experienced and innovative Senior IT/ICT Engineer with a strong background in the design, implementation, and management of data center, telecommunications, and ICT systems. The ideal candidate will have expertise in both operational and strategic roles, focusing on creating scalable, secure, and cutting‑edge solutions for enterprise and telecommunications environments.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and design comprehensive IT/ICT solutions, including data center infrastructure, network architecture, and telecommunications systems.Create detailed technical blueprints, diagrams, and documentation for new and existing infrastructure.Ensure that designs align with business goals, scalability, and industry best practices.Implementation & DeploymentLead the end-to-end implementation of IT/ICT projects, including system integration, configuration, and testing.Oversee deployments in data center and telecommunications environments, ensuring minimal downtime.Provide technical leadership during rollouts, migrations, and upgrades.Data Center OperationsArchitect and manage data center infrastructure, including compute, storage, and network components.Optimize performance and reliability through advanced virtualization, automation, and monitoring techniques.Ensure robust disaster recovery and business continuity strategies are in place.Telecommunications (Telco) SystemsDesign and implement telco solutions, including WAN, SD-WAN, MPLS, and advanced carrier-grade networks.Collaborate with telco providers to design efficient connectivity solutions.Maintain and enhance monitoring and analytics systems to ensure optimal performance.ICT SystemsDevelop enterprise ICT solutions, such as unified communications, enterprise collaboration tools, and cloud integrations.Ensure seamless integration between ICT systems and data center/telco environments.Drive innovation by adopting and deploying emerging ICT technologies.Manage complex projects involving multi-vendor systems, cross-functional teams and sub-contractors.Deliver projects on time, ensuring technical excellence and alignment with business objectives.Provide mentorship and training to junior engineers and team members.Security & ComplianceDesign systems with a focus on security, compliance, and resilience.Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations, including ISO 27001, GDPR, and others.Proactively identify and mitigate risks in IT/ICT infrastructure.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field.8+ years of experience in IT/ICT engineering, with significant exposure to design and implementation in data center and telco environments.Proficiency in data center technologies (servers, storage, virtualization), telecommunications systems (WAN, SD-WAN, MPLS), and ICT platforms (UCaaS, enterprise applications).Strong hands‑on experience with hybrid cloud environments, including AWS, Azure, and GCP.Expertise in networking protocols, infrastructure design, and network security solutions.Familiarity with automation tools (Ansible, Terraform) and containerization platforms (Docker, Kubernetes).Certifications in relevant domains (e.g., CCNP, VMware VCP, ITIL, or PMP) are highly desirable.Desired Skills & CompetenciesStrong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a focus on innovation.Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business‑friendly solutions.Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership abilities.Deep knowledge of telco-grade infrastructure and enterprise ICT applications.Experience with advanced technologies like AI, IoT, and edge computing is a plus.#J-18808-Ljbffr
