And that’s where you come in.Job DescriptionHitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self‑motivated Senior Interface Manager. The successful candidate will have solid experience in the rail industry managing wayside installation design and routing cables along the track and within technical rooms. This position is based in Abu Dhabi, UAE.AccountabilitiesImplement and manage projects related to Urban Rail Signalling in accordance with contractual requirements and company processes, including overall performance/schedule compliance, cash flow and budget while ensuring quality and safety standards.Strategically manage client expectations and deliverables within the company’s business framework.Lead the team to create a detailed schedule, use critical path analysis for execution, and manage project delivery.Evaluate the need for out‑of‑scope work and enforce policies to prevent unauthorized activities.Assess and report on project estimates to complete, providing clarity on cost exposure and future labour needs.Review and contribute to the project risk register, approving mitigation actions that benefit the project and the company.Communicate vision and direction to foster a focused and motivated project team.Maintain strong communication with senior management, clients, and the project team.Lead and challenge the global project team—including contractors, suppliers, subcontractors, and intragroup teams—to exceed performance baselines on critical path and cost competitiveness.Develop an execution plan for interrelated contracts, prioritize, resolve conflicts, and seek synergy to close out potential issues proactively.Manage bids, proposals, and new customer requests, supporting scoping, budgeting, and contract award negotiations.Desired SkillsDegree or Diploma in a Business, Technical, or Engineering background.5–10 years of experience in the railway transportation industry or technical/engineering field.5–10 years as a Project Manager with people‑management and leadership experience.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong attention to detail and the ability to execute plans and deliver measurable results on time.Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills with a team‑building focus.Strategic thinking and the ability to translate ideas into impact while coaching a multidisciplinary team.We welcome and value differences in background, age, gender, sexuality, family status, disability, race, ethnicity, religion, and world view.
