Target Start Date: May/June 2026Minimum Duration: 2 yearsPosition Type: ResidentWork Schedule: 6 days per week / 10 hours per dayBase Work Location: MarghamSenior HV Commissioning EngineerDepartment: EngineeringReporting to: Project ManagerOverviewWe are seeking an experienced Senior High Voltage (HV) Commissioning Engineer for our client, to lead the commissioning and handover of HV electrical systems on major onshore projects. This role is critical to ensuring all electrical equipment is delivered safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with project specifications, company procedures, and international standards. You will play a key role within a multi‑disciplinary commissioning team, coordinating with internal departments, vendors, and contractors to achieve successful project delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as the focal point for HV electrical commissioning activities within the project teamDevelop and execute detailed commissioning strategies, procedures, and schedulesSupport the project completions management system, ensuring all certification and documentation is accurate and completeCoordinate system handover with operations teams to ensure a smooth transition to live operationsLead troubleshooting and resolution of complex electrical issues during commissioningOversee calibration, functional testing, and performance verification of HV systemsPrepare progress reports, test documentation, and punch listsEnsure full compliance with Health, Safety, Environment, and Operational Integrity (HSE) standardsProvide commissioning input during the detailed design phase to ensure efficient project executionDeputise for the Lead Commissioning Engineer when requiredQualificationsHNC / HND / Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalentExperienceExtensive experience in electrical design, installation, and commissioningStrong background in onshore oil & gas projectsHands‑on experience with mechanical completion, pre‑commissioning, and commissioning activitiesWorking knowledge of international standards, codes, and certification requirementsTechnical ExpertiseHV networks, switching, and isolationGas Insulated Switchgear (GIS), transformers, HV motorsProtection relays and variable speed drivesGenerators and Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systemsHazardous area (Ex) equipmentCommissioning safety systems including Permit to Work and LOTOAdditional CompetenciesPrevious experience as an authorised HV isolation authorityStrong troubleshooting and problem‑solving capabilityProficient in commissioning systems and technical software toolsExcellent communication and report‑writing skillsAbility to influence and collaborate across multi‑disciplinary and multicultural teamsComfortable working in remote or site‑based environmentsProven leadership ability, with experience guiding commissioning teams to deliver safely and on schedule#J-18808-Ljbffr
