Senior Fire and Life Safety Consultant / Engineer Job overview: The Senior Fire & Life Safety Consultant, Qatar requires a highly motivated and experienced individual with strong analytical and creative thinking skills to manage diverse projects workload across ME. This will be a client-facing role and therefore a solid technical understanding along with excellent communication and organizational skills are a must. In this role, you will demonstrate experience and passion in Code Consulting, Performance Based Design, and Fire Protection System Design. Responsibilities Manage projects and coordinate technical workload of diverse projects implementing a variety of Fire & Life Safety consulting projects across Qatar displaying expert experience in Fire and Life Safety Code consulting, Qatar Civil Defense Codes and Standards (including NFPA) and also the design of fire suppression & alarm systems, developing performance-based strategies in a project design environment.Conducting code consulting, fire safety drawing reviews and producing reports.Responsible for key Jensen Hughes projects in Qatar and across the Middle East region including Saudi Arabia for various Fire and Life safety projects including but not limited to performance-based design and sensitivity analysis for smoke control systems using FDS software in Stadia, high-rise atria, car parks, theme parks projects, and others.Travel occasionally mainly across project sites in Qatar and Saudi Arabia for meetings, workshops, and inspectionsAttending client project & design meetings, managing project expectations and completing the assigned tasks on schedule and within budget.Preparation and presentation of technical reports and analysisLead and carry out design reviews, participating in various levels of meetings and presentations with Clients assisting in the development of effective business proposals and solutions Qualifications Degree in Fire safety Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering / equivalent.Relevant experience in Code consulting and developing performance-based strategies in a project design environment.10 plus years of experience in Fire and Life Safety Consulting.Excellent report writing and interpersonal skills along with excellent communication skills including speaking and writing in ability to present clear and technically sound fire engineering strategies, speak in public, negotiate, explain fire protection concepts, and enforce standards while strengthening relationships, occasionally under pressure.Able to work independently and as part of a team, enjoying professional challenges, wanting to be an integral part of the long-term growth of Jensen Hughes.Strong Project Management capabilities and understanding of Project Financial ManagementJensen Hughes is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
