Snapshot of Your DayAs a Senior Field Service Automation Engineer at Siemens Energy, you will play a pivotal role in commissioning, maintaining, troubleshooting, and developing automation programs for retrofit projects. Your day will involve working closely with cross‑functional teams and customers to ensure reliable operation of automation systems, resolve technical challenges, and optimize system performance. Expect a dynamic team culture that values technical expertise, collaboration and continuous improvement, where your service‑oriented mindset and problem‑solving skills are highly valued.How You’ll Make An ImpactReviewing and commenting on the design specifications released by customers; clarifying the scope and material requirements for jobs.Work and coordinate Control Systems configurations across multiple engineering platforms and locations and deliver a unified engineering solution for a project.Assuring Software and hardware engineering testing jobs are done timely and within the budget.Organizing the review and test of engineered systems with customers, concluding successful FAT with end users.Assuring all project documentation is updated according to the documentation structure.Ensure that the final engineered solution is implemented successfully at offshore sites.Your ProfileBachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline (Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science / Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, etc.).Minimum 8 years of experience as an Automation Engineer in the Oil & Gas sector with offshore work experience.In‑depth experience with the following technologies:Working experience on Siemens PCS7 Automation Systems, SICOS and SOGO libraries engineering knowledge required.Working experience on Siemens Automation: Simatic S7‑400 FH systems, Safety Systems, Fail‑Safe IO system.Working experience on industrial communication protocols like TCP, Profi NET, Profibus DP/PA, MODBUS, Fieldbus, HART and OPC.Strong knowledge of SIS system design, SIL calculations, IEC and ATEX standards on Safety systems.Working experience with ABB system (800x A) preferred.Strong knowledge of OSIsoft PI or Aspentech IP21 and strong software coding skills with VB, C++ and SQL preferred.Knowledge and practical experience on virtualization with v Sphere, Hyper‑V; implementation of virtualised solutions for PCS7 systems.Knowledge and practical experience of Cyber Security / OT security implementation like DMZ, firewall, router, layered switch configuration are preferred.Must be abreast with MS office applications.
