Job Title: Senior Field Mechanical Technician Rotating EquipmentLocation: Abu Dhabi UAE (Field-based with travel across the UAE)Sector: Oil & Gas / Energy / Industrial ServicesReporting To: Operations ManagerThe OpportunityOur client is a leading international industrial group specialising in rotating equipment services. They are seeking a highly experienced Senior Field Mechanical Technician to lead field service operations across the UAE.This is a hands‑on technical role focused on the installation commissioning troubleshooting and overhaul of critical assets (steam turbines centrifugal compressors and industrial pumps).Key Responsibilities1. Field Execution & MaintenancePerform installation commissioning alignment and start‑up of steam turbines centrifugal compressors and pumps at customer sites.Execute preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance including site‑based overhauls.Conduct precision alignment shaft/rotor run‑out checks and dimensional inspections.Support on‑site balancing and vibration troubleshooting.2. Technical Troubleshooting & ReportingInterpret OEM manuals mechanical drawings and technical documentation to resolve operational issues.Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions.Prepare detailed field service reports inspection records and job completion documentation.3. Site Leadership & ComplianceSupervise and mentor junior technicians and subcontractors during site activities.Ensure strict compliance with ADNOC HSE regulations Permit‑to‑Work (PTW) systems and safety standards.Support critical outages shutdowns and emergency repair activities.Candidate RequirementsExperience & EducationDiploma or Technical Certificate in Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline).Minimum 1220 years of hands‑on field experience specifically with Steam Turbines Centrifugal Compressors and Pumps.Mandatory: Proven experience working on ADNOC sites and familiarity with their HSE/PTW systems.Mandatory: Proof of experience performing runout checks and condition assessments.Software Skills (Mandatory)Unlike standard technician roles this position requires excellent computer literacy:SAP: Required for project tracking and documentation.AutoCAD 3D & Primavera P6: Understanding/Working knowledge is required.MS Office: Proficient in Excel Word and PowerPoint.Personal AttributesWillingness to travel extensively within the UAE and work in heavy industrial environments (confined spaces heights).Ability to work extended hours during shutdowns and emergency call‑outs.Preferred QualificationsExperience with major OEMs or large O&M contractors.Certification in Vibration Analysis or Condition Monitoring.Knowledge of API and ASME industry standards.STRAGO an equal employment opportunity employer is recruiting on behalf of our client.
