Join us.Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Environmental Engineer to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our environmental engineering department, you will lead projects focused on sustainable design, environmental impact assessments, and remediation strategies. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring our projects meet the highest environmental standards while complying with UAE regulations.Develop and implement environmental engineering solutions for complex projectsConduct and oversee environmental impact assessments for various developmentsDesign and manage remediation systems for contaminated sitesCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate environmental considerations into project designsEnsure compliance with UAE environmental regulations and international best practicesProvide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineersPrepare and review technical reports, permit applications, and project documentationEngage with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to communicate project details and address concernsContribute to business development efforts by participating in proposal writing and client presentationsStay updated on emerging environmental technologies and sustainable design practicesQualificationsBachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or a closely related field; Master's degree preferredProfessional Engineer (PE) certification or equivalent UAE qualificationMinimum of 8 years of experience in environmental consulting and engineering, with a focus on remediation system design and environmental impact assessmentsDemonstrated knowledge of UAE environmental regulations and international environmental standardsStrong project management skills with the ability to lead complex environmental projectsProficiency in environmental modeling software and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Experience with sustainable design principles and their application in engineering projectsExcellent verbal and written communication skills in English; Arabic language skills are a plusValid UAE driver's license or ability to obtain one40-Hour HAZWOPER certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hiringStrong attention to detail and commitment to workplace health and safetyAbility to work collaboratively in a team environment while also managing independent tasksWillingness to travel within the UAE and occasionally internationally as required for projectsAdditional InformationAbout AECOMAECOM is proud to offer comprehensive benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
