Senior Engineer Procurement

We are currently hiring a Senior Engineer Procurement for a leading engineering and infrastructure organization in the United Arab Emirates.This role is ideal for procurement professionals with strong technical engineering knowledge and hands‑on experience in infrastructure utilities, power, energy or large‑scale construction projects within the UAE or GCC region.Role OverviewThe Senior Engineer Procurement will be responsible for managing end‑to‑end procurement activities for engineering materials, equipment and technical services. The role requires close coordination with engineering project management and commercial teams to ensure timely and cost‑effective project delivery. This position plays a critical role in supporting major infrastructure and utility projects across the UAE.Key ResponsibilitiesManage procurement processes for engineering materials, MEP systems, mechanical and electrical equipmentReview technical specifications, drawings, BOQs and project requirementsPrepare and issue RFQs/RFPs in line with UAE procurement standardsConduct technical and commercial bid evaluationsLead supplier negotiations to secure competitive pricing and favorable contract termsEnsure compliance with UAE regulations, procurement policies and contractual requirementsCoordinate with project teams to ensure timely material deliveryMonitor supplier performance and manage vendor relationshipsSupport contract administration, variations and claims managementMaintain procurement documentation and reporting systemsRequirements & QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering or related disciplineProfessional certifications in procurement or supply chain (preferred)Experience Required8‑12 years of procurement experience in UAE or GCCStrong background in infrastructure utilities, power, water, oil & gas or construction sectorsExperience handling technical procurement for large‑scale projectsProven expertise in vendor management and contract negotiationFamiliarity with UAE market suppliers and procurement regulationsKey SkillsTechnical procurement expertiseStrong commercial and contractual understandingKnowledge of CAPEX project procurementAdvanced negotiation skillsStrong stakeholder managementERP systems experience (SAP, Oracle or similar preferred)Ability to manage multiple engineering projects simultaneously#J-18808-Ljbffr
