Senior Engineer Network and Security Operations

Role DescriptionWe are looking for a seasoned Senior Engineer in Network and Security Operations to join our dynamic FinTech team. This pivotal role ensures the operational integrity, efficiency, and security of our cloud and on-premise infrastructure. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of network administration, cybersecurity operations, and compliance within financial technology environments. The role involves collaboration with internal stakeholders and external service providers to maintain robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure services aligned with regulatory requirements and business continuity needs.ResponsibilitiesManage cloud and on-premise infrastructure including servers, databases, firewalls, and network appliances.Oversee and govern SOC partner operations to ensure seamless integration, monitoring, and effectiveness.Review, validate, and approve firewall communication matrices to control secure data traffic.Analyze vulnerability assessments and penetration test results; lead remediation planning and execution.Support business continuity planning and disaster recovery strategies.Monitor, maintain, and optimize infrastructure performance, availability, and scalability.Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues efficiently and promptly.Administer IP planning and allocation to maximize resource utilization.Maintain comprehensive documentation of network architecture, IP schemes, and operational procedures.Collaborate with IT, DevOps, and security teams to enforce and enhance cybersecurity practices.Stay current with emerging threats, tools, and technologies relevant to the FinTech sector.RequirementsEducation & ExperienceBachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or a related field.Minimum 5-8 years of hands-on experience in network and security operations.Prior experience in FinTech or banking industry environments is strongly preferred.Technical SkillsIn-depth knowledge of networking protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, SolarWinds, PRTG).Proficiency in security monitoring platforms (e.g., QRadar, Splunk) and SIEM integrations.Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible.Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.CertificationsPreferred certifications include CCNA, CCNP, CISSP, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or equivalent.Soft Skills & CompetenciesStrong problem-solving capabilities and ability to perform under pressure.Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate across multifunctional teams.Competency Levels:Think strategically (Level 3/5)Achieve tangible results (Level 4/5)Lead breakthrough change (Level 4/5)Exceed customer expectations (Level 2/5)Nurture, Inspire and Motivate (Level 2/5)Target win-win outcomes (Level 3/5)#J-18808-Ljbffr
