Senior Engineer - Marine

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineer – Marine to join our team in Dubai United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our engineering department you will be responsible for overseeing complex marine engineering projects ensuring the highest standards of safety efficiency and innovation in marine systems and structures.Lead the design development and implementation of marine engineering projects including ship systems offshore structures and port facilitiesConduct advanced engineering analyses and calculations for marine structures and systemsDevelop and review technical specifications drawings and reports for marine projectsCollaborate with cross-functional teams including naval architects structural engineers and environmental specialistsEnsure compliance with international maritime regulations and industry standardsProvide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineersManage project timelines budgets and resources effectivelyConduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for marine projectsStay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends in marine engineeringParticipate in client meetings and present technical solutionsContribute to the development of innovative marine engineering solutionsOversee quality assurance procedures for marine engineering designs and implementationsQualificationsBachelors degree in Marine Engineering Naval Architecture or related field; Masters degree preferredMinimum of 10 years of experience in marine engineering with a focus on complex marine systems and structuresProfessional engineering registration (e.g. PE CEng or equivalent)Extensive knowledge of marine systems equipment and offshore structuresStrong understanding of international maritime regulations and classification society rulesProficiency in marine engineering software and CAD toolsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong project management and leadership abilitiesOutstanding written and verbal communication skillsExperience with risk assessment and mitigation in marine environmentsFamiliarity with sustainability practices in marine engineeringAbility to work effectively in a multicultural environmentWillingness to travel for on-site inspections and client meetingsAdditional InformationAbout AECOMAECOM is proud to offer comprehensive benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
