Senior Electrical Design Engineer

<div><h3>Lead Electrical Design Engineer for TRANSCO 400/220/132kV Substations and ADDC/AADC 33/11kV Primary Substations</h3><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Complete and detailed electrical designing and engineering of Projects assigned.</li><li>Coordinating with Civil and MEP vendors and preparation of coordination internal and external drawings.</li><li>Involve in Tender site visits from various clients.</li><li>Responsible for preparation, coordination and obtaining approvals from consultant and client/authority for all the design drawings and documents on the project.</li><li>Preparation and presentation of Weekly /monthly Progress reports relating to Design.</li><li>Preparation and obtaining approvals of all Primary drawings as SLD, OEL, LVAC SLD, DC SLD, Lighting layout, Power layouts, telephone layouts, Earthing and lightning protection layouts, Site setting layouts, internal and external builder work coordination drawings, Slab and wall Opening layouts, False ceiling, FF, HVAC layouts, etc. all as required in a Substation.</li><li>Preparation and obtaining approvals for DC charger and battery sizing calculation, Lighting calculation, Earthing and Lightning protection, Cable sizing calculations, Relay settings, CT/VT sizing calculations etc.</li><li>Review of all vendor drawings/documents including Schematics and GA drawings in line with contract specification requirements.</li><li>Preparation of Material Requisitions (MR)&Technical Bid Evaluation for all Major Equipment’s such as GIS, MV&LV Switchgear, MCC, Bus Duct, Control&Protection Panels, Power Transformers, Battery&Chargers, Cables, Lighting (Dia lux&Lightning Protection.</li><li>Designing of SLD, PLD, control logic diagrams, interconnection schemes and schematics.</li><li>Development of specifications and bill of quantities and Subcontractor SOW.</li><li>Technical evaluation on quotations/ proposals/ Tenders from suppliers, contractors, sales team.</li><li>Conducting Load flow analysis and protection co-ordination of LV circuits through ETAP.</li><li>Coordination with customers, management, project teams, own/ other mechanical design teams, support teams such as procurement, etc. throughout the project cycle.</li><li>Preparation of SAT Procedure and Formats for all major equipment in line with Specification requirements.</li><li>Preparation of cable schedule for Substations (Power and Control Cable schedule).</li><li>Preparation of termination schedule for Substations (Power and Control Cable schedule).</li><li>Coordinate with Engineering subcontractors and including civil designer to follow-up as per the project requirements.</li><li>Review of Schematics and Architectural drawings for SCMS and FMS systems.</li><li>Attending Factory test witness with responsibility as a contractor conduct in line with approved FAT Procedure.</li><li>Providing Manufacturing Clearance for the Substation Equipment’s once all the queries raised by Client/Consultant are clarified.</li><li>Attending Engineering clarification meeting with Client and Consultant.</li><li>Preparing the Bill of materials as per the modifications and project requirement.</li><li>Co-ordinate with Site for Installation&Commissioning activities.</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>Good working knowledge on ETAP for Relay setting coordination and protection studies.</li><li>Knowledge and compliance with IEEE codes/ IEC standards and TRANSCO/ADDC specifications for electrical designing.</li><li>Minimum experience of 10- 15 years’ experience in market with Substation’s design and engineering for TRANSCO up to 400/220/132kV Substations.
