Senior Document Controller

FunctionalManage Technical documentation through the lifecycle of all project stages: FEED, EPC (Detailed engineering, Procurement, Construction, Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning) for Project.ResponsibilitiesExecute document control protocols and procedures in functional work areas related to Project.Process incoming and outgoing technical documents and correspondences, including receipt, classification, registry, archiving, storage, retrieval, and back‑up etc. Receive, record and upload all technical documentation in the EDMS. Issue notifications for review and approval as per the approved Document Distribution Matrix.Control issuance of document numbers, including maintenance of document registers / databases, and coordinate with all concerned parties to resolve issues relating to documentation activities. Carry out quality checks on all received documents/drawings for compliance to documentation numbering/revision numbering etc.Interface with all Discipline Engineers to ensure smooth workflow review process for the documents / drawings and their outstanding and pending issues are resolved in timely manner.Generating internal / external transmittals and sending mails to concerned persons on various deliverables submission.Expedites technical documents, tracks and reports deliverables status to Project Management Team and seeks approvals as per review and approval process. Follow up with all reviewers to meet Company’s commitment of document turnaround time. Issue/upload consolidated comments to consultants/ contractors and vendors.Maintaining various Log registers and Document tracking registers for easy functioning of Document Control System and build and issue status reporting on regular basis and provide the weekly report indicating the status of the document deliverables.Ensure confidentiality of documents strictly observing necessary controls/access restrictions.Ensure Technical document integrity is maintained and approved templates/formats are following for all deliverables/documents generated during this Project.Support and facilitate final documentation handover both electronic and paper copies of the project in accordance with the Company’s procedures.Support various Discipline Engineers managing tag numbers required for this Project.Perform other similar or related duties as required or assigned by the Engineering Manager.Qualifications & ExperienceMinimum Educational Requirements / Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or relevant discipline.Proven knowledge in working with EDMS for technical / vendor document management.Minimum Experience: 5 years of relevant experience in document control within the oil and gas industry or related engineering consultants/EPC contractors.Skills and CompetenciesTechnical knowledge and experience in electronic document control management and systems.Ability to prepare reports and statistics.Must able to work with a high volume of documents in a fast‑paced environment. They have to be highly organized and process‑oriented.Must have excellent oral and written communications skills to interact with all the project team members and must be able to handle multiple requests while detailing document activity.Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.
