We make UAE a safer place by providing secure electronic payment solutions cyber security systems and communications as well as security systems for Dubai International Airport and air traffic management and navigation systems for Abu Dhabis airport.ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIESParticipate in the definition of the system requirements and specificationsMaintain the internal development infrastructure and toolsMaintain the physical infrastructureMaintain and enhance the toolsDevelop code to manage infrastructure and cyber servicesWrite code to automate deployment and configuration of servicesWrite unit test to ensure module-level functionality and data integrityPerform code peer reviewDocument and comment codeFollow up on issues and team backlog activitiesProvide documentation on deliveries and installation & test proceduresProvide technical support for other multi-disciplinary teams e.g. system engineering team integration/test/verification/qualification teams deployment teamsPerform root cause analysis for errorsDeploy and assist with maintenance of automation technologiesTrain and coach other team members in DevOps competenciesWORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS5 years of DevOps experienceExperience in IT Infrastructure subsystems (network communication datacenter virtualization software integration etc.)Experience with a number of the following tools and technologiesContinuous Integration / Continuous Delivery tooling e.g. Jenkins GitLabConfiguration management and Infrastructure-as-code tools e.g. Ansible TerraformExcellent knowledge of container orchestration tools e.g. Docker SwarmMajor operating system families e.g. Linux WindowsExcellent knowledge of Git and Git workflowsExcellent scripting skills (Python Bash)Good understanding of the followingSecurity relevant protocols and technologies e.g. network security endpoint security virtualization and container security server hardening PKIService Oriented Architecture REST services micro servicesDatabases e.g. PostgreSQLPreferably experience with Agile methodologies including appropriate tooling (e.g. Jira)QUALIFICATION & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTSBSc in computer science or equivalent qualificationFluent in English Arabic and/or French are added advantagesRelevant industry certifications e.g. system & network operations cyber security DevOps/software developmentPREFERRED SKILLSGood technical analysis and problem solving skillsAttention to detailsAble to work in a multi-disciplined technology environmentTechnical document writingExcellent communication skillsAt Thales we provide CAREERS and not only jobs.
