Senior Data Science Analyst

Job Description Role Overview: You will be a part of the AI and Data Science Operations team at BSI Insights, contributing to better decision-making at Novartis by utilizing data to generate actionable insights and enhance performance. Your role will involve collaborating with international business units, solving complex problems, developing analytical strategies, applying engineering and machine learning methods, and automating processes for efficiency. The team values collaboration, continuous learning, and close partnerships with stakeholders to ensure solutions align with specific business needs, driving innovation and empowering teams throughout Novartis. Key Responsibilities: - Deliver predictive and classification models using machine learning and statistical algorithms for various projects related to commercial pharma, working closely with senior associates in the team. - Analyze large datasets from multiple sources to uncover insights and drive decision-making processes. - Bring operational efficiencies in existing processes by collaborating with senior associates. - Employ a structured project management approach with comprehensive documentation and communication throughout project delivery. - Assist in creating and maintaining standard operating procedures and quality checklists to ensure high-quality outputs. - Manage internal customer expectations across various areas such as multi-channel marketing analytics, targeting and segmentation, predictive analytics, resource allocation, optimization, and ad-hoc requests. - Explore and integrate cutting-edge AI technologies, particularly in generative AI and LLM technologies. Qualifications Required: - Minimum 3 years of experience in data science, Python, SQL, Excel, time series, and machine learning. - Strong foundation in statistics, predictive analytics, machine learning, and deep learning algorithms. - Proficiency in Python with familiarity in R being a plus. - Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems with creative, data-driven solutions. - Comfortable working across time zones and collaborating with global teams. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder engagement. - Bachelors degree in a related field. - Ability to balance strategic thinking with operational execution.
