Senior Data Engineer (GCP)

Coders Connect is partnering with a leading international gaming platform that is transforming the world of digital entertainment through data innovation. We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join their growing team in Dubai. This is a hands‑on role where you’ll contribute to the modernization of their data platform and play a key part in enabling real‑time insights across analytics, product, and engineering functions.What You’ll DoData Pipeline DevelopmentDesign, build, and optimize streaming and batch data pipelines.Manage schema evolution, data contracts, and dbt‑based ELT workflows.Tune BigQuery performance and optimize resource usage.Architecture & QualityDefine and advocate for scalable data storage and processing patterns.Implement testing and monitoring frameworks to ensure data accuracy.Enforce data governance standards and maintain metadata lineage.Automation & OperationsDeploy infrastructure as code using Terraform.Contribute to CI/CD workflows and incident response processes.Maintain high availability and performance across all pipelines.Collaboration & MentorshipWork closely with BI, Product, and Platform teams to develop data models that drive decision‑making.Provide guidance and share best practices with junior team members.Requirements4+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics engineering.Strong command of SQL and Python.Proven experience with GCP data tools (BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub).Practical experience with dbt and Airflow/Cloud Composer.Understanding of data modeling, incremental loading, and performance optimization.Familiarity with data security, IAM, and cost control best practices.Preferred ExperienceExposure to real‑time data streaming and CDC tools.Experience with Data Vault or lakehouse architecture.Hands‑on knowledge of Terraform and CI/CD automation.Previous experience in gaming, fintech, or other data‑intensive industries.What Success Looks Like – In your first 12 months, you’ll have:Delivered reliable, production‑ready pipelines backed by clear SLAs.Contributed new dbt models with full test coverage and documentation.Improved performance and cost metrics across workloads.Built strong partnerships across BI, product, and compliance teams.BenefitsCompetitive salaryHybrid work model with flexibility to balance office collaboration and remote focus time.Modern tech stack (GCP, dbt, Airflow, Terraform, etc.) with opportunities to experiment and innovate.Collaborative, international team culture with a flat structure and autonomy.Candidates must be residing in Dubai to take on this offer.If you’re ready to take a leading role in shaping a high‑impact data platform, we’d love to hear from you.#J-18808-Ljbffr
