Job Description As a Senior Controls Engineer at our global energy solutions company, you will play a crucial role in the development of control systems and strategies to ensure the effective, efficient, and safe operation of power generators. Your expertise will contribute to the integration of power generators with supervisory systems such as SCADA telemetry systems for remote monitoring and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). Working collaboratively within cross-functional teams, you will uphold the highest standards in product design, quality, functionality, reliability, maintenance, safety, and environmental performance. **Key Responsibilities:** - Serve as the subject matter expert for controls systems within the Powergen Product function. - Take technical ownership of specifying, developing, and enhancing control systems and technologies supporting remote monitoring and diagnostic functions. - Establish best engineering practices and ensure compliance with relevant national and international standards and legislation. - Develop technical specifications, functional design specifications, and test procedures for control systems. - Lead the identification and implementation of safety instrumented systems, including process development. - Select, engineer, and package controls systems to meet diverse applications and environments while considering efficiency, reliability, maintainability, flexibility, and total cost of ownership. - Enhance existing control systems to drive operational and manufacturing improvements and address evolving market needs. - Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to optimize engineering specifications for new and existing products by leveraging available technologies. **Qualifications Required:** - Engineering degree, preferably in Mechanical discipline. - Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a Controls Engineer in the Powergen industry. - Profound understanding of product and application design in a multi-disciplinary engineering setting, generator design standards, generator control systems, HMI, Codesys application development, telemetry systems, and NPD processes. - Familiarity with industry-available control platforms (DSE, Deif, Comap, Woodward, GAC, etc.) is advantageous. - Comprehensive knowledge of control system technologies (telemetry, PLC, SCADA) with experience in managing deployed solutions. - Experience in identifying and designing Safety Instrumented Systems.
