Job Description As a Senior Consultant in Actuarial Leadership for Retirement Actuarial Services, your role will involve leading a team to deliver high-quality pension-related services while also focusing on team development and operational excellence. Your key responsibilities will include: - Leading and mentoring a team of actuarial and data management professionals - Driving operational excellence and ensuring timely delivery of services - Establishing quality control measures and maintaining regulatory compliance - Setting and monitoring performance standards - Allocating resources effectively and managing workflow optimization - Fostering a high-performance culture emphasizing knowledge, judgment, and analytical excellence - Providing coaching and development opportunities - Driving employee engagement and accountability - Facilitating collaborative decision-making - Building and maintaining strong relationships across business units - Identifying and understanding customer needs - Implementing solutions to enhance service delivery - Promoting cross-functional collaboration - Resolving complex technical and operational challenges - Guiding team members through problem-solving - Driving continuous improvement initiatives - Leading special projects as needed Your detailed key responsibilities will include: - Ensuring timely and quality delivery while managing escalations between home office and Pune teams - Executing core management responsibilities including performance appraisals, expectation setting, career development, one-on-one meetings, and workflow management - Providing comprehensive techno-functional guidance in US DB space - Guiding and partnering with analysts and consultants during requirements gathering and reviews - Analyzing and translating business requirements into manageable projects - Demonstrating mastery across multiple disciplines including Funding, Accounting, OPEB, and related projects - Identifying and implementing automation opportunities while developing risk mitigation strategies - Ensuring team adherence to organizational principles, practices, and core values - Staying current with industry best practices and technology trends - Assisting in comprehensive project and program planning - Identifying and interacting with home office teams and business stakeholders - Promoting actuarial best practices through roadshows and educational sessions - Maintaining high standards of service delivery while managing costs and regulatory compliance Your qualifications should include: - Bachelors degree in Mathematics, Science, Statistics, or Engineering - Progress in actuarial examinations - 5 years of actuarial industry experience - 1 year of people management or leadership experience - Strong organizational and analytical skills - Excellence in written and verbal communication - Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams - Commitment to maintaining confidentiality Overall, you should be a strategic thinker, mentor, innovator, collaborative leader, and technical expert who can maintain high standards of service while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
