Job Description

<div><h3>1. Job Purpose</h3><p>To execute and oversee advanced composite manufacturing activities for UAV components, ensuring high-quality production, adherence to engineering specifications, and compliance with aerospace standards. The role includes hands‑on fabrication, mentoring junior technicians, and supporting process improvements.</p><h3>2. Key Responsibilities</h3><h3>2.1 Composite Manufacturing Execution</h3><ul><li>Perform advanced composite fabrication processes:<ul><li>Hand lay‑up.</li><li>Vacuum bagging.</li><li>Resin infusion.</li><li>Prepreg lay‑up and curing (oven/autoclave).</li></ul></li><li>Manufacture UAV components such as:<ul><li>Fuselage sections.</li><li>Wings and control surfaces.</li><li>Fairings and structural panels.</li></ul></li><li>Interpret technical drawings, lay‑up schedules, and work instructions.</li><li>Ensure correct ply orientation, fiber direction, and stacking sequence.</li></ul><h3>2.2 Tooling&Materials Handling</h3><ul><li>Prepare molds, tools, and release systems.</li><li>Ensure proper storage and handling of composite materials (carbon fiber, fiberglass, cores, resins).</li><li>Monitor material shelf life and environmental conditions (temperature/humidity).</li><li>Assist in tooling maintenance and minor repairs.</li></ul><h3>2.3 Quality Control&Inspection</h3><ul><li>Conduct in‑process inspections to ensure product conformity.</li><li>Identify defects such as delamination, voids, wrinkles, or resin‑rich areas.</li><li>Perform trimming, drilling, bonding, and finishing activities.</li><li>Support:<ul><li>FAI (First Article Inspection).</li><li>NDT (Ultrasonic / Tap Testing / Visual Inspection).</li></ul></li><li>Record production data and inspection result.</li></ul><h3>2.4 Process Compliance</h3><ul><li>Follow SOPs, work instructions, and quality procedures.</li><li>Ensure compliance with:<ul><li>ISO 9001, AS9100.</li></ul></li><li>Maintain proper documentation and traceability.</li></ul><h3>2.5 Mentoring&Team Support</h3><ul><li>Guide and train junior technicians and laminators.</li><li>Share best practices and ensure adherence to quality standards.</li><li>Support Team Leader in achieving production targets.</li></ul><h3>2.6 Health, Safety&Environment (HSE)</h3><ul><li>Ensure safe handling of chemicals, resins, and curing agents.</li><li>Use PPE and follow safety procedures.</li><li>Maintain clean and organized workstation (5S principles).</li><li>Report hazards and incidents.</li></ul><h3>3. Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Diploma or Technical Certification in:<ul><li>Mechanical / Aerospace / Composite Technology.</li></ul></li><li>Composite‑specific certifications are an advantage.</li></ul><h3>4. Experience</h3><p>5–8 years of hands‑on experience in composite manufacturing</p><p>Experience in UAV, aerospace, marine, or motorsport industries preferred</p><p>Strong experience in prepreg and/or infusion processes</p><h3>5. Technical Skills</h3><ul><li>Strong expertise in composite fabrication techniques</li><li>Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and lay‑up manuals</li><li>Familiarity with curing systems (oven/autoclave)</li><li>Knowledge of trimming, bonding, and finishing processes</li><li>Basic understanding of:<ul><li>NDT methods</li><li>Quality inspection tools</li></ul></li></ul></div>#J-18808-Ljbffr
