Senior Compliance Officer

We are working with an international law firm to hire a Senior Compliance Officer in Dubai. In this role, you will act as a pivotal leader within a global business acceptance function, balancing high-level technical escalations with the day-to-day supervision of a dedicated compliance pod.The firm is looking for an experienced business acceptance professional with a background in legal services, a sophisticated understanding of international AML and conflicts regulations, and the leadership qualities necessary to mentor a growing team.The responsibilities will include:Acting as the primary point of escalation for complex queries regarding conflicts, AML, CDD, and third-party payor issues.Managing and fair allocation of client onboarding and matter opening workflows to ensure accurate and prompt completion.Supervising a small team of Compliance Officers, providing consistent mentoring and ensuring a unified approach to risk resolution.Leading discussions with partners and fee earners to resolve intricate regulatory and commercial conflicts.Conducting sanctions screenings and collaborating with subject matter experts to mitigate risks associated with new instructions.Delivering comprehensive business acceptance training to legal teams, support staff, and internal compliance colleagues.Assisting with the project management of software upgrades, including testing system functionality and improving internal processes.Contributing to the drafting and review of firm-wide compliance policies and supporting lateral hire searches.If you are a resilient leader looking to influence the compliance landscape of a top-tier firm, we would love to hear from you.
