We work at the intersection of AI, data engineering, cloud, and business transformation, helping organizations unlock real value from artificial intelligence.PositionSenior Commvault Backup SpecialistExperience: 5+ YearsNotice Period: Can be considered up to 60 DaysRole OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Resident Commvault Engineer to provide onsite administration, support, and operational management of the enterprise backup and recovery environment for a leading organization in the UAE.The engineer will be responsible for day‑to‑day management, monitoring, troubleshooting, optimization, and compliance of the Commvault backup platform across mission‑critical systems.The role requires close coordination with the customer’s infrastructure, database, storage, and security teams to ensure reliable data protection and compliance with enterprise backup policies.Key ResponsibilitiesCommvault AdministrationManage and administer the Commvault Backup & Recovery platform in an enterprise environment.Configure and maintain:Backup policiesStorage policiesMedia agentsClients and subclientsMonitor backup jobs, schedules, and alerts to ensure successful backup and recovery operations.Backup & Recovery OperationsPerform backup, restore, and recovery operations for:Physical and virtual serversDatabasesFile systemsApplicationsSupport database backups (Oracle, SQL Server, etc.) where applicable.Execute test restores and disaster recovery validation.Monitoring & TroubleshootingMonitor backup health using Commvault Command Center and Commvault Console.Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to:Backup failuresPerformance bottlenecksMedia agent issuesStorage connectivity issuesPlatform MaintenancePerform routine platform maintenance including:Commvault upgradesPatch managementCapacity planningStorage managementMaintain optimal performance of backup infrastructure.Compliance & ReportingGenerate backup reports and compliance reports.Ensure backup retention policies align with regulatory requirements.Maintain documentation of backup architecture and operational procedures.CollaborationWork closely with infrastructure teams, storage administrators, database administrators, and security teams.Support audit requests and provide backup evidence for compliance checks.Technical Skills RequiredMandatory SkillsMinimum 5 years of hands‑on experience with Commvault Backup & Recovery.Strong experience in backup administration, backup troubleshooting, and restore operations.Experience supporting enterprise environments with large data volumes and mission‑critical systems.Backup TechnologiesCommvault Media AgentsStorage PoliciesDeduplicationBackup scheduling and job monitoringDisaster Recovery operationsPlatform ExperienceExperience protecting environments such as Windows Servers, Linux Servers, VMware/Virtualized environments, Enterprise databases, OpenShift/Container Environments, Azure Cloud workloads.Storage IntegrationFamiliarity with enterprise storage platforms such as SAN, NAS, Disk libraries, Object storage.Preferred SkillsExperience in banking or financial sector environments.Knowledge of Oracle database backup using Commvault.Experience with backup DR orchestration.Familiarity with cloud backup integrations.Experience with enterprise monitoring and ticketing tools.Preferred CertificationsCommvault Certified Professional (CCP).Commvault Certified Engineer (CCE).Relevant backup or storage certifications.Soft SkillsStrong troubleshooting and analytical skills.Ability to work in mission‑critical enterprise environments.Good communication and documentation skills.Ability to coordinate with multiple infrastructure teams and vendors.#J-18808-Ljbffr
