Senior Civil Engineer

<div><p><b>Main Role</b>: We are looking for a<b>Senior Civil Engineer</b>to lead and coordinate building construction projects from planning through execution and handover. The role carries full responsibility for technical oversight, schedule control, cost awareness, and cross-functional coordination with project management, planning, procurement, contracts, and cost control teams to ensure successful project delivery.</p><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><h3>1. Project Leadership and Governance</h3><ul><li>Lead and control all civil engineering and construction activities in line with project objectives, contracts, specifications, and company standards</li><li>Act as the main technical and coordination focal point between site teams, project management, consultants, and stakeholders</li><li>Support project strategy, execution planning, and decision-making across all construction stages</li></ul><h3>2. Planning, Scheduling, and Progress Control</h3><ul><li>Coordinate closely with Planning Engineers and Project Managers to develop, monitor, and update project schedules</li><li>Review construction sequences, recovery plans, and look-ahead programs</li><li>Monitor progress against baseline schedules and support corrective actions to meet milestones</li></ul><h3>3. Cost Control, Contracts, and Commercial Awareness</h3><ul><li>Work closely with Cost Control, Contracts, and Commercial teams to monitor budgets, variations, and claims</li><li>Support preparation and evaluation of change orders, subcontractor variations, and cost forecasts</li><li>Ensure construction activities align with contractual requirements and approved budgets</li></ul><h3>4. Procurement and Subcontractor Coordination</h3><ul><li>Coordinate with Procurement teams to support material and subcontractor selection, approvals, and delivery schedules</li><li>Review material submittals and ensure timely procurement aligned with construction priorities</li><li>Manage subcontractors’ performance to ensure quality, schedule, and cost compliance</li></ul><h3>5. Technical Review and Quality Management</h3><ul><li>Review and approve drawings, method statements, and technical submittals</li><li>Ensure construction works comply with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards</li><li>Lead technical problem-solving and support value engineering initiatives</li></ul><h3>6. Health, Safety, and Risk Management</h3><ul><li>Ensure implementation of HSE requirements across all site activities</li><li>Identify construction and project-related risks and support mitigation measures</li><li>Promote a strong safety culture across project teams</li></ul><h3>7. Reporting, Stakeholder Management, and Team Leadership</h3><ul><li>Prepare and review project progress, cost, and performance reports</li><li>Support senior management with project status updates and risk assessments</li><li>Lead, mentor, and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering</li><li>Minimum<b>10+ years of experience</b>in building construction projects, preferably in a project leadership role</li></ul><h3>Technical Knowledge, Skills&Abilities Required</h3><ul><li>Strong background in building construction and project execution</li><li>Proven experience coordinating planning, procurement, contracts, and cost control functions</li><li>Strong understanding of project controls, budgeting, and construction contracts</li><li>Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and commercial documents</li><li>Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project control tools (Primavera knowledge is an advantage)</li><li>Excellent leadership, coordination, and stakeholder management skills</li><li>Strong communication, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities</li></ul></div>#J-18808-Ljbffr
