Senior Civil Engineer

Senior Civil Engineer – SubstationsWe are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer with strong expertise in substation civil design and construction to support major power infrastructure developments in the UAE. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical knowledge, strong site?execution capability, and proven experience delivering high?quality civil works for electrical substations.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and oversee all civil engineering design and construction activities for substation?related works, including foundations, structures, cable trenches, equipment supports, and site development.Review and approve civil engineering documents, drawings, and specifications to ensure full compliance with project requirements, industry standards, and safety regulations.Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of civil works with electrical and mechanical interfaces.Provide on-site technical leadership during construction, ensuring quality control, adherence to schedules, and resolution of technical issues.Manage contractors, supervise civil works execution, and ensure compliance with QA/QC procedures and HSE standards.Conduct site inspections, progress reporting, and technical evaluations as required.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).Extensive experience in substation civil engineering, covering both design and construction phases.TAQA Certificate of Competency (Civil – Substation) is essential.Strong understanding of relevant codes, standards, and regulatory requirements within the power transmission and distribution sector.Demonstrated ability to lead site activities, coordinate with contractors, and manage technical challenges effectively.Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder?coordination skills.#J-18808-Ljbffr
