Senior Civil Design Engineer

This will involve undertaking field visits investigations data collection planning hydraulic modeling master planning design development report writing preparation of tender documents technical specifications and BOQs.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare concept preliminary and detailed designs for wet infrastructureReview organize and analyze collected dataDevelop design briefs and Basis of Design technical notesCarry out hydraulic modeling using recognized modeling softwarePerform design calculationsDevelop design reportsDevelop and oversee design drawingsDevelop specifications and bill of quantitiesDevelop cost estimatesCollaboration and Working as part of a teamWork in conjunction with peer engineers to overcome project design challengesLiaise with other discipline teams and/or teams working remotely from other regions to facilitate completion of project tasksLiaise with sub-consultants and sub-contractors to facilitate completion of project tasksFollow Safe Work Practices and Adhere to Company GuidelinesFollow safe work practices and adhere to company guidelines and policies for planning and executing work in a safe mannerComplete all work in line with Stantecs Core Values and in accordance with the Stantecs Quality Systems Project Quality procedures and Health & Safety proceduresDesign for safetyClient Services and Stakeholder ManagementOrganize and attend meetings with clients to collect data and discuss technical solutions and optionsAttend meetings with stakeholders and follow up on NOCs for utility corridorsOther Duties as Required from Time to TimeOther duties as required from time to timeCompetenciesGood level of client service management i.e. able to interface with clients and build and maintain positive relationships with our clientsCapable to analyze assess evaluate issues complexities pertaining to projects/work packages and support the team in mitigating them in advanceRigorous attention to detail able to understand and adopt workflows and commitment to professional developmentFlexible attitude to accepting different work assignments and proactive attitude to project execution and deliveryExperienced with wet infrastructure design standards in GCC CountriesExperienced with local and international guidelines/standards/codes and technical specifications for the design of wet infrastructureAbility to work on bids to develop technical methodology and estimation of level of effort and identification of resourcesInternational working experience e.g. GCC Region Europe North America (preferred)Excellent command in English both written and spokenArabic language skills (preferred)Ability to manage a heavy workload with close attention to detailAbility to make decisions independently and strong problem resolutions skillsStrong team working capabilities committed to working with all levels of management on a daily and ongoing basisProactive working effectively in coordinating activities and complex tasks taking professional responsibility and ownershipPunctual attentive and competent in adhering to Stantecs policies procedures and work practices#J-18808-Ljbffr
