Senior Casualty Underwriter

About the RoleWe are currently seeking a Senior Casualty Underwriter to join our clients team in the DIFC, Dubai. In this role, you will be responsible for underwriting and managing a portfolio of casualty insurance products for our clients. You will work closely with our sales team to develop new business opportunities and maintain relationships with existing clients.Key Responsibilities:Underwrite new and renewal casualty insurance policies in accordance with company guidelines and standardsAnalyse and evaluate risk exposures and determine appropriate coverage and pricingDevelop and maintain relationships with brokers and clients to promote new business opportunities and ensure retention of existing businessReview and negotiate policy terms and conditions with brokers and clientsMonitor and manage portfolio performance, including profitability and loss ratiosStay updated on market trends and developments in the casualty insurance industryProvide guidance and support to junior underwriters as neededCollaborate with other departments, such as claims and finance, to ensure efficient and effective operationsParticipate in industry events and conferences to represent the company and network with potential clients and partnersQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related fieldMinimum of 5 years of experience in casualty underwritingStrong knowledge of casualty insurance products and market trendsExcellent analytical and risk assessment skillsAbility to build and maintain relationships with brokers and clientsStrong negotiation and communication skillsProficient in Microsoft Office and underwriting softwareProfessional designation such as CPCU or ARM is preferred#J-18808-Ljbffr
